Spring 2012 Scholarship Donation

Dear Friend of Centering Prayer:

Last year, we told you that many have expressed the desire to attend the special events, retreats, annual conference, and other workshops sponsored by Contemplative Outreach, but did not have the resources to do so. Our wish is that no one would ever be turned away because of the need for funds.

So, in order to broaden the possibility of inclusion in program offerings, a new scholarship fund was created and you were invited to contribute. Thanks to your generosity over 100 scholarships were awarded during 2011, including:

8 Servant Leader & Facilitator Training Workshop, St. Louis
74 Annual Conference, San Francisco
5 Heartfulness retreat at Garrison Institute, Garrison, New York
10 Heartfulness retreat at Siena Center, Racine, Wisconsin
    + many scholarships to purchase the Contemplative Outreach Program (CLP) booklets

So, we’re again making this special appeal to build the scholarship fund and to help cover the rising costs of printing and postage.

Fr. Thomas recently spoke of our pressing need to heed the call to be transformed and then to rely on God to enable us to pass on the mercy, forgiveness, compassion and love to all humanity that we have received.

If we join together in passing along our gifts for the transformative work of Centering Prayer, together, through these acts of sacrifice and love, many minds and hearts will be touched by our intention.
