Training

The intent of Contemplative Outreach is to foster the process of transformation in Christ in one another through the practice of the Centering Prayer

One way to help support Contemplative Outreach’s vision “...to foster the process of transformation in Christ in one another.” is to become trained to facilitate workshops and prayer groups. As a facilitator, you will be assisting others in learning the prayer methods of the Christian contemplative tradition and facilitating groups to support a life of practice and community.

The Benefits of Centering Prayer

What is Centering Prayer and How Do We Do It?

Mary Dwyer provides a brief introduction to Centering Prayer.

The source of Centering Prayer, as in all methods leading to contemplative prayer, is the Indwelling Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The focus of Centering Prayer is the deepening of our relationship with the living Christ.
