The dying process is the culmination or peak
of development – the whole development –
of the spiritual journey
in which the total surrender into God
involves the gift of life itself.
Really we are dying into each nanosecond of time,
when we accept it.
Death is perhaps the most complete surrender,
or requires the most complete surrender.
And for that reason it is not death, but life,
a movement into fullness that we can’t imagine
from this side of the dying process.

Retreat includes

• premier showing of new DVD series by Thomas Keating: The Gift of Life: Death & Dying, Life & Living

• new teachings on the contemplative dimension of dying and the spiritual journey, the stages of dying, suffering, heaven, hell and after death, the mystery of God, the cross and Centering Prayer as a preparation for death

•  three hours of Centering Prayer daily in common

• silence and solitude

• daily celebration of the Eucharist and Lectio Divina

• and the opportunity to meet individually with the retreat teachers.

Check-in: Friday, September 14, 1:00-4:00 PM
     Program begins with Centering Prayer at 5:00 PM

Weekend program concludes after lunch, Sunday, September 16, 1:00 PM
Immersion retreat concludes after breakfast, Thursday, September 20, 10:00 AM
