"We are most
thankful to Father Keating and to "Contemplative Outreach" for this
grace, which was having him with us those blessed days. We also thank
"Christian Meditation of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil" for everything, as
well as the many friends that helped this encounter happen. May his visit give
many fruits from now on here."
"We thank the “Christian
Meditation” group of Rio de Janeiro, especially Sergio de Morais, Maria Regina
Scerni Barbosa and her sister, Maria Lúcia, as well as our translator,
Antonieta, all of whom worked untiringly and made this retreat possible. We also
thank the nuns of Our Lady of Grace Monastery and their superior, Mother Estefânia,
as well as the entire community for hosting Father Keating and those mentioned
above. We also thank Father Aloísio Vitral, from Saint Efigênia parish in Belo
Horizonte, who not only has hosted our group each week for more than two years
but also has provided us with the our meeting room and who graciously hosted
Father Keating for his lectures. We thank the refreshments group, Deise, the
sound engineers, and the Saint Efigênia parishioners.
We thank Antonio Lima, his beautiful daughter Letícia, Dr. Fernando
Alcici, who helped us so much, Waldecy Gonçalves with his long-distance help.
We thank the Paulus and Paulinas Bookstores who handled the retreat
registrations, the staff of St. Joseph’s Retreat House, especially Carmen, for
having made the arrangements with so much affection.
Finally, we thank the many friends, anonymous or
not, angels sent by God to help us receive the blessing of Father Keating’s
visit. I especially thank my husband, Rubens, who patiently filmed and
photographed the sessions and gave me his full support. Our desire is that
Father Thomas will return some day. But even if this doesn’t happen, we are
united in the Lord, praying for world peace. Above all, I thank God, from whom
all blessings come."
