Unity in Contemplation 2 DVD setThis year, we are joyfully celebrating 25 years of being a contemplative community that each day consents to Divine love in the world.  The yearly United in Prayer gathering has been a day in which our worldwide Contemplative Outreach community experiences a silent bond of prayer and enrichment.

Our world on the surface has changed dramatically over the past year.  Fear abounds around our planet and everyone needs the fruits and gifts of contemplative practice, now,  more than ever.

To that note, the day will include two periods of Centering Prayer and an enriching DVD and discussion.

A.M. Session:  The Divine Economy, 69 minutes, topics include: the challenge of human freedom, the widow’s mite, the spiritual evolution of humanity.  Also includes Fr. Thomas leading the group into Centering Prayer (approximately 12 minutes of the 69 minutes)

P.M. Session:  The Symbol of the Cross, 31 minutes, Fr. Thomas speaks about the Cross as the symbol of the Human Condition, science and the evolving view of the universe, and the ultimate reality, Love.

Note: The DVD being used is from the Unity in Contemplation, Talks on the Spiritual Journey Series, originally recorded in Austin, Texas in February of 2009. You will receive the entire 2-DVD packet.  For the purposes of The United in Prayer Day we will only be using the first DVD.  We suggest that the second DVD in this series be used for another occasion.
