Introduction to Centering Prayer Workshop
The Introduction to Centering Prayer Workshop is a presentation of the discipline of Centering Prayer as silent communion with God beyond concepts, words and images. The workshop includes instruction on the method of Centering Prayer in a one-day, six-hour workshop, plus six to twelve weekly sessions following the workshop. No previous experience is required.
Centering Prayer and the 12 Steps Workshop
The Centering Prayer and the 12 Steps Workshop is designed as an invitation to people involved with 12-step programs to participate in Contemplative Outreach programs. The workshop explores the idea of Centering Prayer as an 11th step practice. The weekend workshop generally consists of an introduction to the method of Centering Prayer, an overview of how a Centering Prayer practice integrates with the 12 steps, an environment of silence with Centering Prayer periods each day, a viewing of videotapes specifically designed for the workshop by Fr. Keating, and group discussion. No previous experience is required.
