English Transcript:

I’ve always treated my prayer life as a lot of talking to God. And, for me, when I started doing Centering Prayer, somehow just not having to talk – just being in silence – was so much more powerful and easier in a way. What was it that I had to say that wasn’t already known? There’s no need to do anything special to be with God in God’s presence. All that’s required is to be present. Centering Prayer, of course, allows you to just not even do that – just to be that. And the last thing I’d like to say is that it’s helped me with letting go. It’s helped me to take myself out of the equation of always having to think I have to do all the work; I have to do all the asking, the wishing, the wanting. And, in fact, I don’t have to do any of that. I can simply let go and let grace work its presence in my life.
