St. Mary's Parish invites you to
An Introduction/Refresher to Centering Prayer
May 18, 2019
9:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.
Grounded in 16 centuries of Christian tradition, Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us for the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. This workshop is an opportunity to learn or to renew your prayer practice -- to be with God beyond concepts, words and images, listening with "the ear of the heart".
Presented by: Therese Saulnier of Contemplative Outreach of New Jersey
Therese has been praying Centering Prayer for 31 years and teaching Centering Prayer for 27 years. She has a Master of Arts degree in Theology with a concentration in Spirituality from Fordham University. Therese is a web developer for a Fortune 500 company.
