At Bethany Retreat Center we are pleased to offer private retreats in a peaceful and beautiful setting where you can get away from the cares of everyday life and focus on your faith journey. You may come for a day\, overnight\, or a few days. Join the Sisters for prayer and daily Mass\, walk the grounds\, have opportunity for reconciliation and soul-friending. Enjoy home-cooked meals and a comfortable room in a nurturing environment.  We continue to take the COVID pandemic very seriously and are taking many safety precautions to keep you and our staff safe.  If you do not reside in a COVID “hot spot\,” and are not experiencing any symptoms\, or  have been around anyone that has been exposed to the virus\, you are welcome to come.  Call today! SUMMARY:Centering Prayer Dual-Track Intensive Post-Intensive Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This retreat is an opportunity for practitioners of Centering Prayer to deepen their contemplative journey in the contemporary world. It is a week-long experience of integrating contemplation and action through silence\, solitude and community. \nThe retreat offers two tracks. The Intensive Track is recommended for people who have completed the Introductory Workshop and who have a regular practice of Centering Prayer. The Post-Intensive Track is for those people who have previously made an Eight-Day Intensive Retreat. The Post-Intensive offers increased silence and additional periods of Centering Prayer. Both the Intensive and Post-Intensive Centering Prayer Retreat provide daily experiences of silence\, solitude\, walking\, hiking\, yoga\, and spiritual companionship to foster an ever-deepening level of interior silence and awareness of the presence of God in everyday life. \nScholarships are available. Ever since participating in his first Centering Prayer retreat in 1997\, one of his chief joys has been sharing contemplative prayer through leading Centering Prayer groups\, workshops\, and retreats. David lives with his wife\, two children\, two dogs\, seven chickens\, and numerous flora and fauna in Chapel Hill\, NC\, and he serves as Vicar of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church\, Garner.
