DESCRIPTION:You are invited to take a day or days of personal retreat to focus on your “self care.” How are you taking care of yourself spiritually\, physically and emotionally? At Bethany Retreat Center we are pleased to offer private retreats in a peaceful and beautiful setting where you can get away from the cares of everyday life and focus on your faith journey. You may come for a day\, overnight\, or a few days. Join the Sisters for prayer and daily Mass\, walk the grounds\, have opportunity for reconciliation and soul-friending. Enjoy home-cooked meals and a comfortable room in a nurturing environment.  We continue to take the COVID pandemic very seriously and are taking many safety precautions to keep you and our staff safe.  If you do not reside in a COVID “hot spot\,” and are not experiencing any symptoms\, or  have been around anyone that has been exposed to the virus\, you are welcome to come.  Call today! The cost is $88.00 per night. All meals are included.

We invite you to join us in sacred space that transcends our local spaces. Together we may awaken more fully to the Reality that we abide in God's Love at all times\, and beyond all circumstances. \nWe Will Provide \n-Tools and guidance for integrating contemplative practice in your life.\n	-Teachings on love and surrender.\n	-Opportunities to experience our bodies and our lives as chalices for Divine Love. \nThis retreat is for those who have some experience of Centering Prayer. \nHow will the virtual retreat work?  \nThe flexible schedule is designed to integrate prayer with your daily life\, in your home\, and in your circumstances as they are. \nProgram Features \n-Live Online Centering Prayer Sessions – Join via Zoom at scheduled times\, or practice on your own at those same scheduled times\, or as your life permits.\n	-Live Online Teaching Sessions – Join us live via Zoom or view recordings at a later time.\n	-Live Online Small Groups – for experiential processing (not recorded). \nWe hope that you will choose as much or as little of it as fits in your life\, on any given day. Be met\, exactly where you are\, trusting that God's love surrounds all of it\, all of us\, exactly as we are.  \nEntering in: \nThe retreat will start with an introduction Thursday May 21 from 4-5:30 pm Pacific Time. \nA Typical Schedule: \n  7:00 am               Optional Gentle Yoga \n  7:30 am **           Centering Prayer and Moving Meditation \n  8:30 am               Simple breakfast at home (mindful eating) \n  9:30 am **           Teaching \n11:00 am               Retreat integration with your life \n  3:00 pm **          Centering Prayer \n  3:30 pm **          Afternoon Teaching\, Small Groups  \n  5:00 pm               Free time e.g. for conscious work\, dinner prep\, dinner at home \n  7:30 pm **          Evening Practice \n**Starred items will be live via Zoom. \nSunday 5/24 there will be a break from 8:15am – 3pm\, and Monday 5/25 we will end at Noon – Pacific Daylight Time. \nJoy Andrews Hayter\, Ph.D. is a spiritual director\, scientist\, and Centering Prayer Coordinator at Mercy Center.  She is dedicated to fostering Centering Prayer and other contemplative practices that help us become aware of God's ever-present love.  \nHeather Ruce\, M.A. is a wisdom spiritual director with a background as a therapist and training in a neurophysiology based approach to trauma resolution. She loves working with individuals as well as facilitating groups and retreats focused on learning and practicing the Wisdom Tradition. \nCatherine Regan\, Ph.D. is a spiritual director\, retired psychologist\, and adjunct staff member at Mercy Center\, primarily serving on the Centering Prayer team.  She has a special interest in fostering contemplative practices so urgently needed at this time in our world. \nRegister at mercy-center.org or by phone at 650-340-7474.
