DESCRIPTION:You are invited to take a day or days of personal retreat to focus on your “self care.” How are you taking care of yourself spiritually\, physically and emotionally? At Bethany Retreat Center we are pleased to offer private retreats in a peaceful and beautiful setting where you can get away from the cares of everyday life and focus on your faith journey. You may come for a day\, overnight\, or a few days. Join the Sisters for prayer and daily Mass\, walk the grounds\, have opportunity for reconciliation and soul-friending. Enjoy home-cooked meals and a comfortable room in a nurturing environment.  We continue to take the COVID pandemic very seriously and are taking many safety precautions to keep you and our staff safe.  If you do not reside in a COVID “hot spot\,” and are not experiencing any symptoms\, or  have been around anyone that has been exposed to the virus\, you are welcome to come.  Call today! The cost is $88.00 per night. All meals are included.

Time \nVia Zoom\n\nThe purpose of these half-day retreats is to deepen our awareness of God’s transforming presence in our lives. \n“The contemplative state\, like the vocation of Mary\, brings Christ into this world.”\n– Father Thomas Keating \nHow many of us ever think of Our Lady as a Contemplative\, or as a Mystic? Join with us as we explore the “Incarnational instant” as “Mary’s Personal Pentecost” which ushers in the “Christ Event” of birth\, death and resurrection. Hear with new ears Mary’s given title as “fullness of grace”\, the first and highest and most perfect fruit of the Holy Spirit\, the Icon of the Holy Spirit\, Holy Wisdom Sophia which serves as a repository of Beauty\, Truth\, the Good. Appreciate with us that Mary is an essential part of the revelation of who we are as individuals (persons) and as collectives (Church). By becoming as transparent as Mary in her Fiat\, living solely for Christ\, in full kenosis for the revelation of the fulfillment of humankind\, we become the Bearers of the Presence. By assuming the contemplative stance of least resistance to the impingement of grace\, we too become icons of the Holy Spirit\, for it has no other. \nSo please join us in this Advent witness to the unfolding of the submerged reality of the kingdom celebrated for millennia in the Eucharistic Liturgy.
