SUMMARY:Present to Presence: A Silent Centering Prayer Retreat
DESCRIPTION:August 15 – 18\, 2021 \nThomas Keating once posed the question: Why go on retreat? His response was “to experience the deepest silence” and “just … [to] be\, opening uninterruptedly to God’s presence and to the enormous energy of love that creates and sustains us and the universe…” \nEven in our covid world\, it’s important to step away from daily life and turn our focus inward. During this retreat\, silence will begin after Sunday night’s gathering and end after breakfast on Tuesday. In between\, there will be periods of Centering Prayer\, lectio divina and eco divina (listening to God in Nature)\, morning and evening prayer as well as personal time to walk\, read\, journal or simply gaze at the waters of Long Island Sound in a beautiful summer setting. Single rooms with private baths will be ready at 4 p.m. on Sunday. The program will begin after dinner. All meals from Sunday dinner through Wednesday breakfast are covered by the fee. Call the Center or visit the website to register (see below). \nCome listen to the still small voice. Let the deep silence enfold you\, embrace you.
