SUMMARY:My Peace I Give You: A Centering Prayer Day with the Aramaic Jesus
DESCRIPTION:“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”\n— John 14:27 \nDuring this immersive day of Centering Prayer we will engage with our full embodied being in Centering Prayer as well as chanting\, Lectio Divina (divine reading)\, and body prayers. In Lectio Divina will take a contemplative look at the words of Jesus through the Aramaic language that he spoke. Aramaic has far fewer words than many modern languages\, and each word is rich with multiple meanings. We will explore and deepen some of his sayings and their meaning for us in our Centering Prayer and our lives just as we are in this moment.
