SUMMARY:Sacred Circle Dance as a Form of Embodied Prayer
DESCRIPTION:“God is not remote from us; . . . on the contrary\, at every moment God awaits us in the activity\, the work to be done\, which every moment brings.”\n-Teilhard de Chardin\, Hymn of the Universe \nIn this in-person half-day retreat we’ll introduce dances from the Sacred Circle Dance tradition as a form of embodied prayer. These simple movements\, done in a group setting\, can help us unite mind\, heart\, and body in a three-centered awareness to deepen our prayer practice. We’ll also use chants and body prayers as other forms of embodied prayer and as vestibules to Centering Prayer. \nPresented by Linda and Dick Hall\, co-coordinators of COMW\, and Suzi Kindervatter\, former COMW team member and veteran teacher of Sacred Circle Dance. \nPlease see the link below to register.
