It’s a pilgrimage—a journey that takes us first to the inner reaches of who we really are\, and from there\, into the life we were meant to live.”\n– Julie Saad\, Contemplative Life: Discovering Our Path into the Heart of God \nThis four-month long online course is experiential\, guiding participants to deepen their experience of the abiding presence of God by cultivating their contemplative capacities. Participants will learn and integrate contemplative spiritual practices into daily life within a community of seekers through monthly meetings\, a weekly online prayer chapel\, personal practices\, and monthly Holy Listening Circles (group spiritual direction.) \nContemplative practices are the doorway into the gift of contemplative prayer\, where the journey that begins in the silence of our hearts leads us into the heart of God. Weekend Centering Prayer Silent Retreat\nSeptember 12-14\, 2025 at Saint Benedict Center\, Schuyler Nebraska \nContemplative retreats are one of the most wonderful ways to experience time with God in the present moment. Retreats give you time to spend being aware of God and enjoying God’s presence. \nYou are invited to gather with us for our fall retreat giving time to be present in the beauty of nature\, prayer and solitude\, and to be in a restorative community of silence and stillness. \nWe begin Friday\, Sept. 12th at dinner time and conclude Sunday after the noon meal. \nRegistration includes: 2 nights in a private room\, all meals\, and programming.\nCost $340.00. DESCRIPTION:This ZOOM event\, facilitated by Contemplative Outreach Atlanta (COA)\, will offer participants an opportunity to be formed as commissioned presenters of the Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop. Working with a notebook of materials\, each participant will have ample opportunity to learn the content of the Introductory Workshop and to practice presenting the content to others\, with supportive feedback and guidance. \nAll participants must complete an application prior to registration for this event. DESCRIPTION:As autumn approaches\, join us for a quiet morning of Centering Prayer and silence. This day is open to beginners as well as those experienced in contemplative prayer or silent meditation. The day provides time for communal Centering Prayer\, contemplative walks\, private journaling and reflection\, and ends with a period of Lectio Divina. All are welcome.
