DESCRIPTION:A Centering Prayer 8-day retreat with Fr. Bill Sheehan\, OMI\n(Arrival 3:00-4:00 pm)\nTwo of the basic teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating are his human development theory that he describes as The Four Consents\, and the Prayer in Secret. During our time together\, Fr. Sheehan will explore these teachings as a way of going deeper and discovering in the words of St. Augustine that the God we seek is closer to us than we are to ourselves. Resources referenced: Thomas Keating: Invitation to Love\, and Manifesting God. \nWe will be in silence for meals\, breaks and prayer time. Periods of Centering Prayer will be included in our time together. There will be discussion following each of Fr. Sheehan’s presentations.
