SUMMARY:Basic Centering Prayer
DESCRIPTION:If you enjoyed the Introductory Workshop and want to make Centering Prayer a daily practice\, this six-week basic course is the next step. Each week\, you will view a video-recorded talk on the Spiritual Journey by Fr. Thomas Keating\, followed by group discussion. \nThe course will cover: \nPrayer as relationship with God\,\nThe four levels of scriptural experience\,\nResting in God\,\nCentering Prayer as method and\,\nProgress in Centering Prayer. \nEach week\, we will begin with Centering Prayer. Your facilitators will provide an introduction to the topic for the week and we will watch the video (20 to 25 minutes) together. Then we will look over the questions to be discussed. Discussion will take place in the break-out groups and we will gather together once again to close out the class. \nTime Listed are Mountain Time (Denver\, Colorado)\nClick the website link below to register. DESCRIPTION:In order to expand our vision of God\, we explore the lives and spirituality of two extraordinary mystical scientists\, Hildegard of Bingen and Teilhard de Chardin. These mystics radically lived their experience of Divine Presence in and through creation. Born centuries apart\, they were mystics with a cosmic vision as well as scientists who seamlessly wove together their faith with the science of their time\, creating powerful visions of the universe.
