SUMMARY:Body Presence and Contemplative Awareness
DESCRIPTION:Discover a deeper awareness of healing and wisdom accessible to each of us through our bodies. Drawing from the insights and experiential practices of both Welcoming Prayer and BioSpiritual Focusing\, we will seek to become more aware of welcoming and holding our feelings with curiosity and loving care. \nPeriods of Centering Prayer will be offered in the morning and afternoon.

SUMMARY:Introduction to Centering Prayer
DESCRIPTION:Centering Prayer is a receptive method of Christian silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer\, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us\, closer than breathing\, closer than thinking\, closer than consciousness itself. \nThis method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to deepen that relationship. \nIn this session\, we will examine how Centering Prayer can deepen our relationship with God\, others and ourselves. We will learn the method of Centering Prayer and how to deal with our thoughts during the prayer period. There will be two periods of Centering Prayer and a time for questions.
