SUMMARY:Unchanging – Awakening in the Flow of Hope (via Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:We are living in turbulent times. In the churning\, can you feel an anchor to something that is unchanging? Could it be a deep abiding hope? In this presentation\, Rick Klein offers insight to a path out of the dualistic sociopolitical environments that keep us stuck. \nHow might I continue “Growing Up” on my spiritual journey? \nBuilding on teachings from Cynthia Bourgeault\, Richard Rohr\, Thomas Keating and others\, Rick believes the key to future spiritual growth—individually and collectively—begins with hope. Not the ordinary understanding of hope\, but a deeper understanding: Contemplative Hope. As we awaken to the powerful presence of contemplative hope in our lives\, we reveal the unchanging universal truths hidden in plain sight. \nJoin us as we explore how to weave the threads of universal truth into the fabric of our lives and open to the potential of a quantum leap in spiritual “growing up.” This collective leap is essential if we are to show up in new ways that can diffuse the anger and fear in our world. \nWe will begin this workshop with 20 minutes of Centering Prayer. \nThis presentation—Unchanging—grew out of Rick Klein’s February 2025 presentation\, “Unfinished: A Spirituality of Change\,” which explored Ken Wilber’s developmental “Growing Up” lens and left many of us wondering what is mine to do? In this new presentation\, Rick continues the exploration of our collective and individual journeys. If you missed the Unfinished presentation\, you will be able to watch the February recording as part of your registration for Unchanging. The recording is not necessary\, however\, as Unchanging is a unique presentation that builds on themes raised in the previous presentation. \nHope is an orientation of the spirit\, an orientation of the heart; it transcends the world that is immediately experienced\, and is anchored somewhere beyond its horizons.\n—Václav Have \nTime listed are Mountain daylight time. \nRegister using the Event Website link below.

SUMMARY:A Weekend Centering Prayer Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us\, closer than breathing\, closer than thinking\, closer than\nconsciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. As one practices Centering Prayer with devotional sincerity and tries to respond to all situations within God’s will rather than through our own inclinations\, we find ourselves being called on a journey of transformation. How does one respond to this call? What does this transformation involve? What does it look like in everyday life? These and related questions will be the theme of this weekend retreat. \nThere will be time for silence\, lectio divina\, videos with short discussions\, and exploring the beauty of nature\, all in the comfort and serenity of Seton Cove Spirituality Center. \nPlease see the link below to register.

SUMMARY:InterSpiritual Praxis in Community: Charis Meditation and Charis Circles
DESCRIPTION:Charis Circles are small communities of interspiritual practice. We will introduce interspirituality and Charis Meditation\, developed for interspiritual settings. The day is for those who embrace one religious tradition\, more than one tradition\, or are “spiritual but not religious.” As the Quaker Rufus Jones noted\, “I pin my hopes to quiet processes and small circles\, in which vital and transforming events take place.” Charis Circles embody this vision\, where transformation and revelation within can unfold. \nThis event includes sessions of Centering Prayer along with others who may be practicing a different form of silent prayer.

SUMMARY:A Wisdom School on Wisdom Rhythms & Relationships with Heather Ruce
DESCRIPTION:Online and In-Person at Sorrento Centre\, British Columbia\, Canada. \nOctober 5th (5 pm) – October 9th (12 noon)\, 2025 (Pacific Time). \nIn any moment\, regardless of how significant or insignificant it may seem\, we can offer ourselves as instruments\, vessels\, means by which worlds beyond can enter into this world\, which has often been termed by several traditions ‘mixtus orbis.’ Wisdom teacher Cynthia Bourgeault often reminds us that this world’s dense conditions are not a mistake but a place where the rough material of our lives can be mixed with spiritual substances and nutrients from beyond and in so doing\, something essential is created. \nThere is much to glean from the Wisdom lineages in every tradition\, including Christianity\, about waking up to a different reality and orienting our lives to something more than our everyday circumstances. In the case of the Christian Wisdom lineage\, we can place our gaze towards the world beyond—kingdom of heaven\, the imaginal realm—which is always in our midst when we have eyes to see and ears to hear. When we can attune ourselves to this dimension\, we can begin to draw from an endless wellspring and be of service to God in our day to day lives and relationships. Drawing on the work of Cynthia Bourgeault\, G.I. Gurdjieff\, and others\, this Wisdom School will focus on listening for the Wisdom rhythms that deepen presence in our three centres – intellectual\, emotional\, body – in order that we can perceive and act in accordance with the higher laws of the kingdom of heaven in cosmic servanthood and in particular in conscious relationships. \nJoin us in person or online at the Sorrento Centre. There will be an invitation to a ‘Wisdom way of knowing’ through a daily rhythm with periods of silence\, centring prayer\, teaching\, conscious conversation\, Gurdjieff Exercises and Movements\, chanting\, mindful work\, lectio divina\, and contemplative reflective time. \nOn-site participants must register for both:\n1) flexible and affordable accommodation and meal plans at Sorrento Centre\, and\n2) the program taught by Heather Ruce as organised by TCS. \nCosts vary depending on the in-person or online choices. \nOffered by Heather Ruce. \nPlease see the link below to register.

SUMMARY:God is Love – The Heart of All Creation - via Zoom
DESCRIPTION:God is Love: The Heart of All Creation Series continues and builds on the works of Thomas Keating over the past 30+ years\, beginning with the Spiritual Journey series. It offers a vision of hope and a view of reality that at once integrates the sciences\, religion and humankind’s place in the cosmos as divine in origin\, unifying in purpose\, unfolding in its grandeur. \nThis nine-week God is Love video series is Fr. Thomas Keating’s latest in the Spiritual Journey Series. It is a masterful overview of how we can grow and deepen our relationship with God and how God manifests through us. The presentations both motivate and inspire us to be faithful to the Centering Prayer practice. \nThomas also shares how God invites us to draw closer to Him and to allow God to transform us through Centering Prayer. This is a “must attend” series\, especially for those who have been doing the practice for some time. Class session will begin with 20 minutes of Centering Prayer. \nThis is a nine-week class\, offered on Thursday evenings\, September 25 – November 20\, 2025 \nTimes listed are Mountain time (Denver\, CO) \nClick the website link below to learn more and register. SUMMARY:The Enneagram - a Christian Wisdom Approach
DESCRIPTION:From a Wisdom perspective\, the overarching message of Jesus’ teaching is the transformation of our ordinary ego-driven consciousness. In the scriptures\, this is spoken of as stepping into the larger mind\, or putting on the mind of Christ. The Enneagram is a tool based on ancient wisdom that can help us to see the contours of ego — appreciating the strengths and limitations of personality as well as revealing the path for growth and transformation. Through a balance of\nteaching and practice\, this retreat will explore structures of personality that make up the nine different points of the Enneagram. With a greater understanding of how these structures work\, participants will be able to approach the Enneagram as a tool for the transformation of consciousness that Jesus calls us to — a tool that includes and goes beyond the descriptions of the nine types. \nThe program includes sessions of Centering Prayer. \nHenry Schoenfield is a member of the service team for Contemplative Outreach of Boston and a board member and senior student in Cynthia Bourgeault’s Wisdom network\, Wisdom Waypoints. He has studied the Enneagram of personality with Russ Hudson among other teachers and is certified in the Integrative\nEnneagram assessment tool (iEQ9). He is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ\, a spiritual director\, certified professional coach\, and retreat and workshop facilitator. \nTo register\, email: info@henryschoenfield.com

SUMMARY:Silence and Contemplation: A Path to Inner Freedom
DESCRIPTION:“Contemplative prayer is simply a wordless\, trusting opening of self to the divine presence. Far from being advanced\, contemplative prayer is the simplest form of prayer that exists.”\n– Cynthia Bourgeault \nIn a world filled with noise and uncertainty\, our soul thirsts for silence as a path to inner peace and freedom. More than a technique\, contemplation is a way of being that is connected with the soul’s desire to touch God’s Mystery. \nThis weekend will be in silence and will include input sessions on the Centering Prayer method\, guided practice as a group\, and opportunity for soul companionship if desired. \nEven if you are not a beginner\, you are most welcome to make this experience of silence.

SUMMARY:Contemplative Living I: Contemplative Practices in Daily Life (Online)
DESCRIPTION:Contemplative Living I: Contemplative Practices in Daily Life (Online)\nSeptember – December 2025 \nI will give you a new heart\, and a new spirit I will put within you.\n– Ezekiel 36:26) \nCourse Description \n“Contemplative life begins when we first step into the silence of our heart. It’s a pilgrimage—a journey that takes us first to the inner reaches of who we really are\, and from there\, into the life we were meant to live.”\n– Julie Saad\, Contemplative Life: Discovering Our Path into the Heart of God \nThis four-month long online course is experiential\, guiding participants to deepen their experience of the abiding presence of God by cultivating their contemplative capacities. As we cultivate contemplative practices in ordinary daily life\, we begin to experience oneness with God and all creation. \nCourse Objectives\nTo establish a daily practice of Centering Prayer\nTo integrate contemplative spiritual practices into daily life\nTo cultivate contemplative attitudes and disposition\nTo foster contemplative listening that comes from a listening heart\, rather than from the ego or mind \nPlease see the link below for more information and to register.
