DESCRIPTION:Contemplative Outreach of Columbus is offering a Virtual Silent Saturday via zoom. A Silent Saturday provides a few hours that are set aside for Centering Prayer\, Lectio Divina\, spiritual teaching and reflection. “Come rest awhile with the Lord.” \n8:30am-2:30pm Eastern Time \nFr Vinny McKiernan will discuss how Centering Prayer helps us align our hearts with the loving Presence and Mystery of God. Let us deepen our intimacy with God as God is. Fr. Vinny is a priest and member of the Paulists. He was introduced to Centering Prayer at the Cistercian monastery in Spencer\, Massachusetts in the mid-70’s by the monks Basil Pennington and William Menninger. He has shared the method of Centering Prayer ever since. He has led countless Centering Prayer workshops and retreats. \nThere is no cost. Donations are welcome.
