Our prayer Group has just celebrated the Eucharist for our beloved Fr.Thomas. We are deeply saddened by his passing as we owe so much to him. I personally want to express my immense gratitude to this Spiritual Colossus who has been the mainstay of my priesthood for the past 35 years. In all the parishes I have been sent to I have started a Centering Prayer Group based on his teaching. I have also traveled to COUK where I met Elizabeth Smith. I had the privilege of meeting Fr Thomas at Snowmass in Colorado on sabbatical to America in 1998, and I also met him when he came to Belfast IRELAND. We want you to know that we loved him greatly. The tears I shed were not so much of sorrow but of the deepest joy that he now enjoys the fullness of Gods Vision in heaven and the utter gratitude that he left us such wisdom in the brilliance of his wisdom. I now have , in my 70th year, and 45 in Priesthood, an ever greater urge to promote his vision and message to a world that is desperately in need of it.
Please pass on our deepest love and condolences to his communities and know we here in Ireland, hold you al in our hearts at this time both of sadness and joy.
Declan Boland PP. (On behalf of our Centering Prayer Group)
