Gifts for Living 74: In God Everything is One and Diverse at the Same Time
The rational mind cannot say two things at the same time that are opposite. So the resolution of opposites is only in God where everything is one and diverse at the same time and indeed infinitely one and infinitely diverse. So, if we say there is a God you have to be willing to say in another sense there isn’t a God. Meaning there is not a God that we can conceive of that is God. So the uncreated experience of God, this is really the essence of heaven. It's a state of consciousness more than a place. Is there a place beyond, in the spiritual world? Probably, but not in the sense that we understand it. So, talking about it is not that helpful. But perceiving that it’s not a physical place that we can imagine but a spiritual state of consciousness in which we’re always aware of being intimately in the house of God.
En Dios todo es Uno y Diverso al mismo tiempo
La mente racional no puede decir dos cosas opuestas al mismo tiempo. Por lo tanto, la resolución de los opuestos solo se encuentra en Dios, donde todo es uno y diverso al mismo tiempo, e infinitamente uno e infinitamente diverso. Así que, si decimos que hay un Dios, debemos estar dispuestos a decir en otro sentido que no hay un Dios. Es decir, no hay un Dios que podamos concebir como Dios. La experiencia no creada de Dios es realmente la esencia del Reino. Es un estado de conciencia más que un lugar. ¿Hay un lugar más allá, en el mundo espiritual? Probablemente, pero no en el sentido en que lo entendemos. Hablar de ello no es tan útil. Pero si lo es percibir que no es un lugar físico que podamos imaginar, sino un estado espiritual de conciencia en el que siempre somos conscientes de estar íntimamente en la casa de Dios.
