Voices of Grace & Gratitude: The Trinity is In Me, Comforting Me

Voices of Grace & Gratitude are joyful expressions of grace and gratitude from the worldwide community of Contemplative Outreach for the gift of Centering Prayer in their lives and its meaning for all creation. During this year of celebration of the 30th anniversary of Contemplative Outreach, a new video will be presented every Monday. May they serve to lift your hearts.

Contemplative Outreach, in my instances, was the saving of my soul – in fact, the saving of my life – because Fr. Carl will know this story: that the trauma that I experienced needed a lot of medicating and I’ve taken no medication. I have, over a period of two years, managed this through Centering. Whenever that anguish or whatever it is that rose inside me – the sorrow, the strickeness – I would just step back into myself into Centering Prayer and remain there until I could feel this total stillness and the sense of the Trinity being there within me, comforting me. And when I was settled in that and I felt that I could come out again and just continue everyday life. I live that way. I don’t do it sometimes – I live like that.
