BIPOC Centering Prayer Retreat 2025

A 5-day Centering Prayer retreat designed for and by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color – which includes Latinx and Asian) contemplatives. We gather to practice Centering Prayer, participate in facilitated dialogue about the changing needs of contemplatives in relation to the BIPOC community, and nurture and support BIPOC Centering and contemplative prayer retreat leaders within the Contemplative Outreach and the larger Christian contemplative prayer community.
Our shared intention is to reclaim and reimagine contemplative prayer and teaching through an ethnically inclusive lens and form a contemplative prayer retreat model more culturally sensitive to and inclusive of BIPOC persons’ unique needs and perspectives.
