Centering Prayer Introductory Workshop – via Zoom

I’ll be there, with a love that will shelter you

These words from an old 4 Tops Motown song, articulate the promise God has given us through the ages, demonstrated throughout Jesus’ ministry and brought to each of us every moment by the Spirit.

Centering Prayer is a powerful way to open ourselves, to “reach out,” and invite the Spirit’s healing, support, inspiration and guidance into our everyday lives. It is a Christian form of meditation that serves as a method of movement into contemplative prayer. It leads us to live a contemplative life, resting more and more in God, being moved by the Spirit toward what Thomas Keating, the founder of Contemplative Outreach, called “pure faith,” becoming better able to love, work with and serve others.
