Communion to Community: “That We May Be One”

Reflecting on the teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating and Beatrice Bruteau, Colleen Thomas will lead us in exploring the heart of Jesus’ teaching in the Gospel of John 17. In this Gospel, Jesus’ final prayer can be summed up as “that they may be one, as we are one.” As we commune with God through Centering Prayer, we become one with God.
Yet like the prayer itself, becoming one with others is not always so easy. Together we will reflect on the contemplative path as a movement beyond personal healing and transformation towards a prophetic and collective healing.
