Modern Mystical and Contemplative Wisdom: Spiritual Insights from Howard Thurman, Evelyn Underhill, and Ram Dass

The twentieth century brought sweeping technological, political, and social change, reshaping religion and spirituality in public and private life. It also witnessed a revival of mystical and contemplative spirituality led by remarkable teachers. This contemplative weekend invites deeper silence and centered living through the wisdom of three figures: Howard Thurman, Martin Luther King Jr.’s mentor; Evelyn Underhill, the British writer on mysticism; and Ram Dass, an Interspiritual teacher bridging Eastern wisdom and Western psychology.

The weekend includes Centering Prayer, contemplative practices, teaching, reflection and sharing.

The retreat may be attended in-person or online. Times listed are in Eastern (New York) time.
