Sacred Circle Dance as a Companion to Centering Prayer

“God is not remote from us; . . . on the contrary, at every moment God awaits us in the activity, the work to be done, which every moment brings.”
-Teilhard de Chardin, Hymn of the Universe

During this in-person retreat, we’ll introduce contemplative dances from the Sacred Circle Dance tradition. These simple movements, done in a group setting, help us unite mind, heart, and body to deepen our prayer practice. Together we’ll explore how the combination of music and movement can be a companion to Centering Prayer, in which we open our hearts to consent to God’s presence and action within us.

Presented by Suzi Kindervatter, former COMW team member and veteran teacher of Sacred Circle Dance, and Linda Hall, co-coordinator of COMW.
