Somewhat Silent Saturday

You are invited to a “Somewhat Silent Saturday” on Saturday, February 26. This day will include opportunities for ~

– multiple periods of Centering Prayer;
– an introduction to and guided experience of Prayer of the Breath, an attentive discipline that may become a prelude to Centering Prayer for you;
– a session of traditional Lectio Divina (“Sacred Reading” of scripture);
– personal reflection, walking and/or journaling;
– a brief opening and closing devotional/worship time; and
– refreshments and a light lunch.

The only cost for this event is a donation for the meal. Please join us at St John Lutheran Church, 715 College St, Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613. The event itself will be led by local members of Contemplative Outreach of Northeast Iowa.
