This three-day workshop will focus on how Centering Prayer can heighten one’s understanding and appreciation for the season of Advent. The leader will be the Rev. Tom Ward, the retired university chaplain at the University of the South who now spends his days focusing on the contemplative dimension of the gospel, teaching Centering Prayer and leading Come for a Centering Prayer Weekend Retreat at Francis House of Prayer. Enjoy God at this small retreat house in a quiet bucolic setting. Frequent Centering Prayers periods are offered alone and in common. Overnight guests and commuters are welcome.
