      To Practice:

Inner Inventory: After your Centering Prayer time, take an extra few minutes to reflect: What am I storing up unnecessarily—emotionally, materially, or spiritually? Who might benefit if I let some of that go? Let one response gently rise and stay with it through the day as a prayer of release.

Seeing Christ in All: Choose one encounter today to make a silent practice. As you meet someone—whether stranger, friend, or opponent—say inwardly: “Christ is here.” Notice how this changes your response. In the evening, journal: Where did I recognise Christ’s presence? Where did I resist it?

      – You may listen to today’s recording here (about 15 minutes long). Comments and suggestions are welcome by replying to today’s email.

      – The latest issue of the CO News newsletter is now available online here. It includes articles about Thomas Keating’s last conversations with a dear friend; his early interest in Zen as well as several articles from the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, and those serving in prison outreach.

I want to express how vital it is to me to receive The Word of The Week each week.

It enables me to remain connected to the mainline churches while strengthening my contemplative practice and perspective. I use a portion of the scripture passages and portions of the reflections or meditations with our Centering prayer group each week.

Centering prayer, Thomas’ teaching, and this community have enabled me to reconnect and re-root myself with the faith of my youth and to share it with others.

      I am so grateful.

Dear Frank:  Thank you so much for taking the time to share your gratitude. I sent your note to all members of the WoW team; it is very inspiring and gratifying to hear how much this program means to your spiritual journey. Your participation inspires our commitment, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. – Pamela

On my exit  door I posted a sticker “Christ is here”. In my comings and goings this week what was surprisingly exposed  is my holding back compassion for a small specific group { who don’t think like me}. I entrust my re-aligning to the indwelling Spirit… willingly consenting…..
