      Practices

      • Re-read and pray these passages again in the manner of Lectio Divina, perhaps aloud to engage more of your senses and to feel the vibrations in your body. Gaze upon the image. What do you receive for your journey now?
      • Practice “oneing” this week – seeing all in God and God in all. What do you notice? What do you learn? You could use an affirmation to carry with you throughout the day, such as “I am in you, you are in me,” or “Nothing is separate from God,” or “We flow into God and God flows into us.”
      • Watch this video with Thomas Keating, “Christian Non-duality,” (4:31 minutes), where he discusses our 24/7 commitment to being in the presence of God. You may also be interested in this playlist of short videos, Journey to Oneness, which continue the teaching of oneness and Divine Union in 1-3 minute segments.

Knit to God with love. “We only have to be what we already are, which is the creature and the beloved child of God.” Father Keating taught the awakening of unity consciousness meant deeper participation in the world, not separation from it. My life as a contemplative moves from silence rooted in love to service of those around me. Because we are “knit to God”, “…the love of God creates in us such a oneing that when it is truly seen, no person can separate themselves from another.” <3 linda
