      To Practice

      1. Having come through Lent, we are in the liturgical season of Easter. How has your life become “new”? Specifically, how have your Lent-Easter practices changed some detail of how you live, relate to others, deal with the difficulties of life?
      1. At the beginning of at least one day this week, after you have done Centering Prayer and perhaps Lectio Divina, consider how you might more intentionally be a channel of the Spirit, making “all things new” for some person or situation. In the evening, pray through the events of the day and look for times when the Spirit might have been acting through you. Journaling might be a helpful way to concretize this.

One of my long-time prayer questions is “how do I best love?” I embrace the sentence “The love that Jesus requires of his disciples is a graced love, a way of loving given by God, if we consent to participate in and with this love.”

Each time I sit in prayer, I consent to participate in and with Love. The answer to “how do I best love?” comes very practically – what needs doing, who needs supporting, where can a smile be bestowed? I trust my best loves grows each day. <3 linda
