Contemplative Outreach of Middle Tennessee
Thirteenth Annual Gathering
Saturday, September 7, 2019
The Upper Room, Nashville
8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Contemplative Outreach of Middle Tennessee (COMT) will host its Thirteenth Annual Gathering on Saturday morning, September 7, 2019, at the Upper Room Conference Center at 1908 Grand Avenue in Nashville, two blocks east of Vanderbilt University.

All are welcome to attend. COMT is the Middle Tennessee chapter of Contemplative Outreach Ltd., a national organization that offers programs and support for those who want to deepen their relationship with God through the contemplative practice of Centering Prayer.

This year’s program will be led by Dr. Ben Curtis, Director of Nashville’s new Center for Healing and Spirituality, and a long-time facilitator for spiritually focused events.  He completed Post-Doctoral studies at Vanderbilt Divinity School, the University of Oxford, the Jung Institute and the Sewanee School of Theology after earning his Ph.D. at Baylor University.  Dr. Curtis’s keynote address will be “Opening to Presence”.

The registration fee is $30 prior to August 7, which includes light refreshments. Doors open for sign-in at 8:00; the program begins at 8:30.  Please visit www.centeringprayermidtn.com to register.

Contemplative Outreach is a spiritual network of individuals and small faith communities committed to living the contemplative dimension of the Gospel. The common desire for Divine transformation, primarily expressed through a commitment to a daily Centering Prayer practice, unites our international, interdenominational community.
