      To Practice

      • Read through the reflection again in the manner of Lectio Divina and notice what stirs your heart? Sit quietly, sinking into the meaning as you breath and open into God’s love and message for you.
      • Ask for the grace at the start of a day to awaken to a circumstance or person as an opportunity to sit at the banquet without expectations, open to what food God’s presence has for you in the situation.

If you wish, you may re-read the full email reflection here: https://mailchi.mp/coutreach/2024-word-of-the-week-aug18

“This is the joy of the Kingdom – to be free of our personal and ambiguous confusions about what happiness is and to allow God in God’s infinite wisdom let happen to us what happens.” (Father Keating)

I readily admit my own ambiguous confusions about what happiness is. I must deeply trust God in order to allow God in God’s infinite wisdom let happen to me what happens. Not easy for a self-identified reforming control freak – yet it is my walk at this time. Lord, I believe; help my unbelief! <3 linda
