      To Practice:

      • Pray these passages again in the manner of Lectio Divina, speaking them out loud to engage your senses and affirm them in your being. What speaks to your journey now? As you gaze at the image, what opens in you?
      • The practice of forgiveness is part of the path of conscious love, of choosing over and over again to grow in love. Is there a hardness of heart or hurts from which to be released? The Welcoming Prayer or a Forgiveness Prayer practice may be useful.

I find it difficult to put into words what these reflections and meditations have come to mean to me each week.It is so important to me that we reflect on the same scriptures that I  hear each week in my little hometown parish.

They help me move from living as an obsequious, fearful servant of THE ALL POWERFUL CHRIST THE KING to becoming an intimate friend of CHRIST THE COMPASSIONATE HEALER AND PRINCE OF PEACE.

      Thank You.

At first, the  Israelites didn’t recognize the manna as food. They had to wait and look again. When I have my own idea of what will nourish me, I risk walking away hungry when the “manna” is right in front of me.

As I begin this week : Futility of their mindssucks me into my current struggles; the image provided this week is like a breath of fresh air. There is new life as I wrestle  futility? No, as my mind wrestles, the Indwelling Spirit is at work evacuating and doing for me what I desire in the very depth of my being; I am open, willing, consenting, letting go……….humbly consenting…..

“Forgiveness arises out of creative love;”

“Forgiveness is the act of making a new future…”

      “Forgiveness is resurrected life;”

It is as if each person of the Trinity is calling me to respond to each of these verses from Ilia Delio’s poem as from Father, Son and Spirit. My desire to love as God loves births forgiveness, an act of making a new future – not only for myself but for all I encounter. The weight lifted from me when someone extends forgiveness is resurrected life. I pray I can remain connected to this creative love and forgiveness. <3 linda

Linda, I love how you perceived/sensed the Trinity and connected these passages – such a creative and alive response on your part. Thank you for sharing. – Pamela.

“Forgiveness is resurrected life”, the awakening of a new consciousness. Time and space for healing, a letting go and surrender to the creative action of Love.
