- Sunday June 15: Tikkun Olam

To Practice:
- Prayerfully re-read these passages again in the manner of Lectio Divina, reading them aloud to engage more of your senses and feel the vibrations in your body. Gaze at the image. What do you receive for your journey now?
- This week’s message affirms we are exactly what is needed to heal the world, at this moment in time, in the very circumstances of our lives. Living from this truth, what is mine to attend to? Practice radiating Light and Love into everything and everyone in your day – every email, every encounter, every dishwashing, every phone call. Your Presence matters to the whole.
- Based on community requests, the Word of the Week team is experimenting with providing a recording of today’s reflection for those who prefer to listen rather than read (or who like to do both). You may listen to today’s recording here (about 13 minutes long). Comments and suggestions are welcome by replying to today’s email.
If you wish, you may re-read the full email reflection here: https://mailchi.mp/coutreach/2025_word-of-the-week-june15

This was beautiful. Thank you also for the recorded version!!!!!!
The emphasis on lifting up the light brings to mind Jesus’ words in John 8 (I am the light of the world) and Matthew 5 (You are the light of the world). I can bring and reflect the light that comes from the Eternal Source of light that is Christ. His light precedes ours always. We dont strive for it. Light also clarifies. The section about trivial matters really hits me hard. So many distractions that seems to invite me to scatter my light. So many things requesting attention that dont matter. I want to know the love in my heart lest the weeds choke out the good work Holy Spirit is doing to transform this heart to be part of the world’s healing. Much love to all who make this community possible.<span id=”PING_CONTENT_MB_MAIN” style=”display: none;”></span>

“For the world and time are the dance of the Lord in emptiness. The silence of the spheres is the music of a wedding feast.”
What a passage for lectio! Cosmic Christianity balancing the red letters is what’s bringing me back in the fold. So grateful for Merton. And grateful for CO. And grateful for this newsletter.
Are we dancing in the dance yet?
