• Prayerfully re-read these passages again in the manner of Lectio Divina, reading them aloud to engage more of your senses and feel the vibrations in your body. Gaze at the image. What do you receive for your journey now?
• “You are a part of me I do not yet know.” Practice seeing yourself in others and others in you, realizing we are all capable of the lowest and highest of human expressions.
• Watch this video, “The Gamut of Love,” (two minutes) where Thomas Keating speaks of the various kinds of love and the possibilities of love.

As Election Day approaches, our fears of one another are front page news. But they are also every day realities as we look the other way, turn our backs – unwilling to see the “other” as a member of the human family to be acknowledged and respected. Our fears sap our energy and the communal energy. Let us change our own narrative, our own language – in what we say aloud and in what we say to ourselves.

I practiced “seeing with eyes in the heart” this week in working with women I encountered while tracing down medical billing information. I called to request my forms, opting to pick them up in person, twice. Each time, I was nudged by the Spirit to take some store bought baked good. What I received at each encounter was the pleased state of shock response. These talented women work in a business park offsite of the medical facility and rarely receive visitors. Trusting Spirit’s guidance let them know how much one person appreciated their expertise. <3 linda
