- Sunday October 27: What You See Becomes What You Love

To Practice
- In a prayerful disposition, maybe after a time in Centering Prayer, journal about the desires you recognize in your life. You might make a list. What do you most want Jesus to do for you? Notice which desires direct you to healing and/or transformation. In prayer seek the wisdom to see which desires are disordered distractions and which ones align most closely with God’s love and call for you.
- You may wish to watch this 11-minute video, “An Evolution Towards Oneness about the archeological dig and Divine Therapy models for the healing that takes place with a committed practice of Centering Prayer.
- You may want to listen to this song from the musical “Godspell” which speaks of our desire to see more clearly and follow God more closely (3+ minutes).

As I listen to the video for this week, great joy settles in my heart. In the last 20 days I consciouly lived this simultaneous up/down cycle, Keating talking about. Though my body response is now one of fatigue, muscle pain, stiffness, Sunday’s Gospel Bartimaeus’ throwing off his cloak resonated profoundly with my/our “now moment-response”. “our”- is the nine of us, “allowing” the Spirit to take us where we need to grow. For me I reach into the depth of despair opening me to experience a depth of joy, formerly unknown. For me the word: verve is a way of naming my experience. So grateful for all of you, WoW community!, including those of you who write the reflection. (I see a huge pod of dancing hearts).

Like Bartimaeus, I find myself sitting on the side of life’s road at times; I wonder if Bartimaeus moped as I frequently do? I confess when Jesus calls, I do not always jump up and run to Him – forgive me. I most want Jesus to teach me to love as best I can, bring all close to God’s heart. I confess my fears loving like this may lead to great rejection, as it did for Jesus. Forgive me. <3 linda
