Contemplative Outreach has helped me in so many ways. I’ve been doing this prayer for a very long time and there’s always been someone to either mentor me, someone I can talk to, some way to connect with other people, some way to increase my awareness of God with retreats and with other speakers coming and people talking about their Centering Prayer as well. And I really think within the community of our prayer groups which are formed as a result of going to a Centering Prayer workshop and having this way of forming ourselves and being closer to God that when the prayer groups meet, there is a community there and we really support each other and help each other, and love each other, and care for each other. And I have found that with everyone that I come into contact with in Contemplative Outreach wherever I have been, it’s the same. There’s that connection.
