Harvesting Grace: An Eco-Spirituality Contemplative Retreat
October 14, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - October 16, 2022 @ 4:00 pm
$425“When (Jesus) asked his disciples to ‘look at the lilies of the field,’
I think he was asking them to read the book of nature as the book of God. …
The lilies do not simply reflect God; rather God is being God in the lilies.”
– Ilia Delio, Making All Things New
This contemplative retreat invites you to engage with the Sacred in nature and encounter God as the Creating and Sustaining Spirit of all. It will be a time to rest in body and “rest in the grace of the world.” Anchored in Centering Prayer (CP), the weekend will offer scheduled options including terra divina (sacred earth) exercises, a labyrinth walk (weather permitting) and a communal prayer service on Saturday evening. However, there will also be plenty of open time to explore the grounds, read, journal, or simply enjoy the beauty of the land and waters of Long Island Sound.
No Centering Prayer experience is required. This weekend is for both beginners and long-time practitioners.
Claire Rusowicz is a certified spiritual and retreat director and a spiritual director supervisor. She co-facilitates weekly online Centering Prayer groups.
