Prayers please for Oriol who is undergoing a full day in the operating theatre on Tuesday 23rd April. He is gravely ill and three major surgeries will be carried out at the same time. Please pray for him, his surgical team, his family and those who love him and wait for the outcome.
Very many thanksPrayers for Mary & her family Kathleen and for you as you walk with Mary. Prayers for Jason and Diane.

However small they may be. Living with chronic illness and a diminishing ability to do some things requires much fortitude to invest in the gifts diminutions bring – more stillness, quiet, prayer, enjoying nature, and learning deeper surrender and acceptance. And more. And of course, the great gift of this community. Much Gratitude to Pamela and all who bring Word of the Week to us.

Last night when I read this scripture there was a response of “oh yes, of course.”
It’s a very difficult time in my family right now & I am being touched more deeply than usual by family matters & world events. I give thanks for our practices & these emails, always containing so many riches – & for Centering Prayer practiced alone, & in online groups.
Despite the seemingly insurmountable challenges, there is gratitude.Posted by Brenda Bayne on September 12, 2023 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Sunday September 10: Tough Love: Making Room for Love #137664Thank you WotW for today’s prayer chapel and the Sit, reading and sharing. And very many thanks Pamela, for sharing Tom Agness’ reflection here. To be sat with & pondered. Thank you Tom.

Great thanks to Pamela & the WotW team for including it in this week’s email. 🙏🏼Posted by Brenda Bayne on May 9, 2023 at 10:48 am in reply to: Sunday May 7: The Power of Love #134967For me, practicing love makes showing kindness & love to others flow more easily. I also find that it opens me to the grief I carry & makes allowing & releasing this less difficult.
Grief & gratitude, loving & grieving are companions & I am immersing myself in the Grateful Grief course being offered by Grateful Living. Vivek Murthy’s meditation fits well with where I am right now.
Thank you.

I pondered on my situation – I live alone & have a chronic condition which often limits my ability to go out, & when I do it’s not often in a situation for physical touch so those become extra special. My pondering reminded me that I/we can touch others with our heartfelt smile, a sincere word, a kind gesture, by donating to causes if & when we can. Prayer, and of course “tucking someone into our hearts” in CP, as Mary Mrozowski said.

Today this stops me in my tracks. I have read and heard this before, never has it hit me so profoundly; any other words fail – staying with this in obedience – turning in the direction & listening.

Brenda Bayne. Reason: I had incorrectly named the source of TK’s quotation

Sunday’s email touches me deeply, it is too deep for words at this point, perhaps I will not ever be able to articulate it. I certainly cannot articulate those fleeting moments of non-duality, usually out in nature, when I know and have a felt-sense that all is One. Too fleeting to grasp which perhaps is a good thing…
